Gerbil Tunnel Ideas

Bath Tissue Rolls: Tissue rolls are small, which makes them really versatile. You can connect multiple together and have them changing directions with a lot of different corners- which will make for a really fun adventure for your gerbil!

Paper towel Rolls: Paper towel rolls are great for under-the-bedding tunnels. They're a bit tougher than bath tissue rolls so you can cover them with bedding and have them leading underground. Doing this makes for great daytime hiding spaces for gerbils.

Gift Wrap Rolls: The ultimate gerbil tunnel! These are super long and can be cut up and made into all sorts of things! Another great thing? They don't have glue residue on them like paper towel and bath tissue rolls do. This means they pose less of a threat to your gerbil's health in case bits are accidentally ingested. They're usually really sturdy and can make great outside-of-the-habitat play gyms as well.

Old Sweater Sleeves: Most people don't ever think to use cloth tunnels. Glue an old bangle bracelet to the openings of an old sweater sleeve and let them literally tunnel through the fabric. The bangles will help hold both ends open, but in between the fabric will collapse- making the perfect snuggly tunnel for your tiny pet.
